Perhaps the brain child for Jaymie’s business might’ve been a magical evening she planned for her father‘s birthday on our ranch a few years ago. Many of us on horseback, and many of her father‘s friends & family on a swamp buggy, had the most wonderful ride through the woods to land at a magical creekside niche with a beautifully set table with the most incredible food waiting. It was a full moon and the stars were amazing. It was truly a night that all of us will remember as an incredibly unique, fun way to enjoy friends, horses, great food and wines, and all that nature kindly offers us to make it all the more special!

Epic Evolution

Jaymie Klauber, owner of Epic Equine Experiences (EEE), has been riding since before she could walk. When still a kid she was riding cutting horses. In 2000 she discovered polo. Soon after she started to explore, on horseback, our area’s best kept secret: the stunning state and county parks, and impressive conservation easements, reflections of true old Florida beauty. Each trail adventure that she experienced with friends always culminated in a fabulous, delicious and chic lunch picnic or boma-style dinner, prepared by horse-husband and professional chef, Tommy Klauber. From this was born Epic Equine Experiences

Jaymie's heart has always been with horses and she finally decided to pair this passion and expertise with her professional resume to create a company that offers unforgettable, exciting, exclusive, bespoke, trail riding experiences to area visitors and locals alike.

Jaymie’s extensive equine knowledge, enthusiasm and connections, paired with her 24 years of hospitality experience as a restaurateur, caterer, and professional event planner, make her uniquely qualified to provide her adventurous EEE clients with incredible, fun horse riding experiences on special, picturesque properties, that are also well-organized and safe.

Jaymie, an avid polo player, polo horse trainer, as well as a resident and member of the Sarasota Polo Club, has been influential in establishing polo as a recognized, well-attended sport in the Sarasota, Manatee and Lakewood Ranch communities, and she brings that same gusto to her own Epic Polo League and her epic trail riding experiences available in our beautiful area.

Epic Equine also provides a beautiful and well-behaved string of polo ponies available to lease per chukker, as well as a variety of other equine services.

There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.

Epic Horses

Our horses are so loved.

They are mostly thoroughbreds and their first careers were as race horse hopefuls, but they were just not fast enough, which was great news for us as we then had the opportunity to adopt these young, well-bred, athletic, majestic animals and train them for their second careers as polo ponies, moonlighting as our trail experience horses.

Our horses have the good life… they are very well taken care of, given the best grain and hay, groomed and babied, turned out with their friends overnight and kept in the barn and out of the sun during the day, with fans, except when being ridden, and they are never ridden more than one trail experience or polo game in a day, and they get 1-2 days off per week.

We match our horses with our guests based on their experience and weight, and the horse’s personality and energy level. Please let us know if you prefer a horse with more whoa than go, or if you would like a little more ‘spirit’ underneath you — we want your experience to be relaxing, fun, and stress-free.

Our horses are snowbirds, and they get ‘turned out’ in Virginia on 50 acres of rolling hills, lush, delicious grass, ponds, and shade trees for the months of July, August and September to rejuvenate and get the R&R they most certainly deserve.
